I'm interested in all Downies and I think I have this family in my database. I believe that some of the information may be incorrect, in particular the date of death of Andrew F[raser] Downie who was one of the Andrew Downie motor cycle dealer family who had premises at Haymarket. I have a copy of his death certificate which gives his date of death as 17 February 1951. He was married to Margaret Grubb Bertram, whose death I don't have. Perhaps even more interestingly, this couple were the parents of the actor, Andrew Downie, who died on 15 April 2009 in London. Mary Munro was almost certainly Andrew senior's aunt. I don't have details of any of the other children but I expect that they are children of Andrew Fraser Downie and Margaret Grubb Bertram.I can offer help if you want to provide more information on the gravestone page.
